Check out this 3D rendering of the science payload that will eventually fly onboard the NEUDOSE satellite. This is a cutaway view of the NEUDOSE Tissue Equivalent Proportional Counter (TEPC) that enables us to separate the dose from charged and neutral particles. When NEUDOSE launches, we will be able to measure how much dose astronauts receive and where the dose is coming from. This will enable us to design smarter shielding for future manned missions to Mars!
